On this Human Rights Day , 10’th December 2022, Right to Privacy is a subject matter to be focused on.

“We the people of India, here by adopt, enact and give to ourselves this Constitution.”

This constitution of India which is of the people, for the people and by the people provides a comprehensive framework to guide and govern this country of India, which is enriched by social, cultural and religious diversity.
Tim Cook rightly said – Right to privacy is really Important , You pull that brick out and another and pretty soon the House falls.
In Puttaswamy vs Union of India case 2017, the Right to Privacy was declared as a Fundamental Right by the Supreme Court.
According to Article 21 , Protection of Life and Personal Liberty-  No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to the Procedure established by Law.  This Fundamental Right is available to every person , citizen and foreigner alike. Protecting Privacy is a key to ensure Human Dignity, Safety and Self determination. It allows individuals freely to develop their personality.
Though, there are different types of Privacy, Digital Privacy have become a social issue . Times of India group labels “Digital Privacy is a Myth..” Many experts are striving to create awareness among netizen regarding Digital Privacy.
This Right to Privacy has to be balanced against other fundamental rights like Freedom of Expression or Freedom of Media , fundamental to Democratic Society.
So it’s right to be said
“To be aware of Right to Privacy contributes in Persons Efficacy”..
